Phoenix to Sedona to Flagstaff to Williams to finally... ahh the Grand Canyon. Traveling with my very best friend, every detour became a destination and every stop was a sight to see. You see, I love rocks—beholding them, climbing them, and well... beholding them. Very sensory by nature, the primary mode by which I take in the world around me is through sights and sounds, smells, touch and taste. (Wikipedia says, "The Grand Canyon is 277 miles long, up to 18 miles wide and attains a depth of over a mile.") Stick me in the middle of that baby and I'm in heaven. There's just something wonderous about being convincingly reminded that there exists something infinitely greater than me... and in turn, being able to confidently rest in my weaknesses.
(Pardon my excitement with the fisheye as I bought it specifically for this trip the day before we left!)
